How New Water Heater Regulations Affect You

Water heaters are changing and we want to make sure you know! In April 2010 as part of the NAECA (National Appliance Energy Conservation Act), the US Department of Energy mandated that certain household appliances meet high standards for energy efficiency.  As of April 16, 2015, all water heaters manufactured in the United States must comply with these new regulations making them more efficient, but also more expensive up front to install.

Water heaters manufactured after April 16, 2015 may require additional installation time, materials, parts and options. They may also require different venting or hybrid technology to comply with these new energy regulations.

If your current water heater needs replaced, we can help walk you through the changes and how they affect you. If you would like more information, please call us at (610) 593-5129 and we’ll be happy to talk with you and discuss the options that you have with all of the new technology.
